Network Design

When it comes to networking the size is just a piece of stats for us. We work on anything ranging from a small 5 user peer-to-peer network or a 500 user enterprise. We have experience with the following network operating systems: Microsoft Windows family, Redhat Linux and Novell Netware.
Not every task these days is done within the office premises involving using of computers. But for that it is very necessary to establish connection with the firm or organization. We can establish remote access setups (RAS), virtual private networks (VPN) or accessing internet, which will help an employee or a person to connect or get in touch with the workplace, irrespective of the geographical location.

Local Area Network (LAN)

A local area network (LAN) supplies networking capability by joining or grouping computers together, such as in an office building, colleges / schools, or a home. A LAN is useful for sharing resources like files, printers, games, applications, internet, etc. A LAN in turn often connects to other LANs, MANs, WANs and to the Internet. Most local area networks (LANs) are built with relatively inexpensive hardware such as Ethernet cards also known as LAN cards, ethernet cables, hubs or switches. Wireless LAN "WiFi" and other more advanced LAN hardware options also exist in the market and new technologies are emerging rapidly.

Corporate Intranet

Corporate intranets facilitate communication and access to information. This allow employees who might normally never meet to collaborate on projects. Intranets promote the sharing of knowledge and ideas and provide a single, secure, reliable access to a company’s private information. An intranet improves a company’s ability to manage its information and it can also streamline document distribution. Intranets can result in higher productivity because of better access to quality information. They also allow reuse of existing information and can reduce the cost of information sourcing, printing and distribution.

Effectively deploying an intranet or extranet requires careful planning and collaboration between the key members within your organization, the users of the system, and the development team. IntelliSoft Technologies facilitates this planning through strategic consultation.

IP Telephony / Voice over IP (VoIP)

The objective of IP Telephony / Voice over IP (VoIP) is to provide the same high-availability; high-quality voice service that users currently receive from the TDM based system. Carrying voice calls over an IP network including the digitization and packetization of the voice streams. IP Telephony utilizes the VoIP standards to create a telephony system where higher level features such as advanced call routing, voice mail, contact centers, etc..

Remote Access Setups (RAS) and Wide Area Network (WAN)

Interconnecting multiple company sites on a Wide Area Network (WAN) is now a common practice, as is connecting the corporate network to the Internet, partners and customers. Multi-site Networking can be deployed in multiple ways depending on the proximity and required level of service required by your specific application. Some of the technologies we use are physical copper/fiber optic cabling, virtual private networking, wireless (radio), wireless (laser), and leased lines.

IP PBX

(Internet Protocol Private Branch eXchange) A telephone switch that supports voice over IP (VoIP). IP PBXs convert IP phone calls into traditional circuit-switched TDM connections for the PSTN. They also support traditional analog and digital telephones, allowing enterprises to migrate slowly to an all-IP telephony environment. See IP telephony and PBX.

IP PBXs and TDM PBXs This illustration contrasts a traditional PBX and an IP PBX that serves IP phones only. In practice, IP PBXs also support legacy telephones.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

VPN is 'any network built upon a public network and partitioned for use by individual customers'. This results in public frame relay, X.25, and ATM networks being considered as VPNs. These types of VPNs are generically referred to a Layer 2 VPNs. The emerging forms of VPNs are networks constructed across shared IP backbones, referred to as 'IP VPNs'.

There are fundamentally three different corporate or business uses of VPNs:

Extranet VPNs
